Jim has been coaching baseball for more than 20 years. Jim has coached, trained, and developed ball players at every age and skill level. After injuries forced an early end to his playing career, Jim started coaching in the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association and now coaches and trains high school players for a variety of club teams in and around the Midwest. He has a passion for helping players reach their full potential and be prepared to make it to the next level in their baseball career.
Jim has been a recruiting coordinator for many years and has the knowledge and dedication to help players and families navigate the challenges of the recruiting process. Along with coaching, Jim has coordinated several training programs for student-athletes that include off-season strength and conditioning programs, as well as developing specific, individual action plans to help a player maximize their measurables and put themselves in the best position to achieve their goals both on and off the ball field. Jim has coach hundreds of athletes that have gone on to play college baseball and has coached or trained several players that have been selected in the MLB draft.
He has coached in high level tournaments in 24 states and has had a chance to evaluate talent across the country. Jim has had the pleasure of mentoring hundreds of high school and collegiate baseball players and understands the importance of building strong relationship with players and families to personalize a realistic plan that will lead them to a program that is the best fit for the player. In addition, Jim is the father of 2 high school athletes, and he knows first-hand how challenging and important this decision is for the future of a student-athlete. Having a deep passion for making players better, Jim currently works with a development company designing baseball mobile apps to assist coaches and players reach the next level.
It is Jim’s goal to take what might be a confusing and sometimes stressful recruiting process, and turn it into a journey that is encouraging and exciting for the athlete.
Why Athletes & Parents Are Raving About Us
Austin Mowrey Columbia University - Baseball Team
I would recommend SportsForce to other student-athletes because of the work they do for you. They provide all student athletes with the chance to continue their education and athletic careers.
Garrett Hastings University of Kentucky - Basketball Team
They (Sports Force) have an understanding of the process, templates and the data to develop communication for schools across the country and all athletic and educational levels. But be prepared as a family to make an effort to work together and research.
Joel Brown Chapman University - Baseball Team
I would recommend SportsForce to any other athlete because recruiting today is entirely different than it was 10 years ago. You can’t just be a star athlete on your high school team or have a good weekend at a tournament and receive a college scholarship. You have to go out of your way and contact as many schools as possible and SportsForce makes sure you are able to successfully do this. They helped me receive opportunities I wouldn’t have been able to receive on my own. SportsForce is the way to go if you are serious about playing college athletics.
Austin Ruiz Azusa Pacific University - Baseball Team
I highly recommend getting involved with Andrew and his talented team as early on in the process as you can. It will save you a lot of frustration and money in the long run. His team is very knowledgeable and they can help in many ways. It was money well spent and we thank you guys for everything you have done for our son as well as our family.
