Michael graduated and played at Alice High School in South Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he started his coaching career as a student. Michael graduated with a B.A. in History and coached multiple H.S. baseball teams and players during the summer and fall. Upon graduating in 2016, Michael became the head of player development at the MLB RBI Program in Austin, TX. During his coaching career in Austin, His teams won 2 Southwest Regional championships and sent the majority of the players on the teams to play at the collegiate level.
In 2021, Michael became a Graduate Assistant Coach at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. During his time with the Islanders, Michael worked with all position groups in the program. At then end of the 2021 season, Michael started up his own baseball club (Thunderbirds Baseball Club) out of the STX Sports Facility in Alice, TX, where he currently resides.
