1. Why did you or your family choose the school you did and what is the school?
I wanted to play D1 college baseball and go to a highly reputable baseball and academic school on the west coast. It was important for me to be away from home, but not too far away from my family and friends. The University of San Diego (USD) was a perfect fit for me as a student-athlete. The student population is not too big, but big enough, and the smaller classroom size is attractive. They have a strong, winning baseball tradition and an excellent coaching staff that I established a strong bond with early in the recruiting process. USD provides me the opportunity to compete for playing time early which is very attractive and important. Their strong baseball program in a competitive conference, along with a great academic reputation and close proximity to the beach in San Diego, CA made USD an easy decision.
2. What advice would you give to other players and parents with the recruiting process?
I would advise all student-athletes to start the process early in your Freshman year. Make sure you focus and narrow down your target list of interested colleges, but be open-minded as you never know what you might be interested in. Plan to get as much exposure to college recruiters as possible. Participate in a lot of highly reputable tournaments with your club/travel teams and put together a solid highlight video that you can share with coaches. Learn in advance how to properly communicate with recruiters/coaches and know what questions to ask and what topics not to bring up. Make sure you establish a solid relationship with your schools’ coaches and don’t feel pressured to make a decision until you are ready.
3. How excited are you about your college choice?
I am very excited about the opportunity to be a student-athlete at the University of San Diego and having the opportunity to compete and contribute right away.
4. How much money do you estimate your family saving in college expenses over the entirety of your college career?
It’s a considerable amount that our family is saving which we are truly grateful and blessed to be receiving.
Over the last 10 years, SportsForce has helped over 1,000 student-athletes and families successfully navigate the college recruiting and athletic scholarship process while saving families on average $80,000 in college expenses.

Why SportsForce is Different:
* View our Home Page Video Unlike most recruiting companies, we do not just partner with anyone for our hands-on recruiting programs. Instead, we only partner with qualified players who meet our Five academic, athletic, and coachability selection factors.
We evaluate between 10,000-12,000 players each summer and fall at top showcases and selectively advise, and advocate for only a limited number of players each year by directly contacting college coaches to help them maximize recruiting offers.
Each of our expert college recruiters is limited to how many players they will advise so there is the best combination of hands-on guidance and personal recruiting outreach to college coaches.
Social Media Exposure: We also utilize our growing Twitter following at @SportsForceBB which is followed by over 500 NCAA D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JC coaches nationwide and growing fast.
