PERSONAL STATEMENT
My entire life I have always been a competitive person. I hate losing more than anyone else. Obviously nobody likes to lose, but I hate losing more than anyone. Baseball allows me to express my competitive trait as a player needing to win. Not just regarding baseball, but my competitiveness can apply to various other things in life. Such as school, I not only want to succeed, but I need to succeed in academics. I do believe that my competitiveness leads to another trait. My creativeness like my competitiveness has always been natural to me. I do believe that the reason I am creative is because I always needed to win so I had to be crafty and find out a way to win. The reason that I am creative is because I find a way to win for my team. I do believe that every good ballplayer possesses competitiveness because you play to get better and if you do not possess competitiveness you will not want to work to get better and outwork your opponent. The creativeness is an added bonus because when all else fails I will find a way to succeed.

Other activites and interests: I like to many to play many sports, but I like to play baseball the most of all. I like collecting sports memorabilia like baseball cards or anything signed in general. I like to listen to music and attending the College World Series with my family every year.
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: Tod Nissle because he has taught me the right way how to play the game and always reminded me how to have fun with the game. I tend to forget that I am just a kid playing a game and that whether I make an error or a good play I should always have fun and he reminds me to always have fun. There are always times to be serious , but I tend to forget that there are also times to have fun.
About Me: When I was growing up I would go to the College World Series every year and look up to the young athletes participating in it. I would always envision myself one day playing on that stage in front of all of those people. But my dream didn't stop there, I have always wanted to play in the Big Leagues too. My parents are both from Nebraska and both of their parents are from Nebraska and currently live there. Every summer since I was 4 years old I would go back to Omaha for the CWS and look up to those young student-athletes and wish to be like them. And my family is a baseball family because my brother played high school baseball, my sister played high school softball, my dad played high school baseball, his dad played in the South Dakota leagues. I have always from a young age been surrounded by baseball and have always loved the game. Thats why baseball has a special place in my heart.
