PERSONAL STATEMENT
I hope to be part of a winning team, under the leadership of an inspiring coach. I am eager to learn and compete with the best, for I know that is how I am most challenged. I believe sports can be a platform for good and I hope to be a mentor to others. I enjoy learning about the brain and psychology, and how we can lift each other up to become better. I believe in loyalty and hard work, but mostly I respect integrity. I look forward to the experience of college as a student-athlete, and am ready for the journey.

Recommendation: Antonio is a 3-year varsity starter and brings that rare combination of speed and strength offensively and defensively. A tireless worker, Tony's game has continued to improve each season. On the offensive side, he is a gap to gap hitter with high exit velocity that promotes additional carry of the baseball. Tony is very instinctive on the base paths and is steal threat. Defensively, he has a quick first step with an accurate and strong arm. Most importantly, Tony makes the rest of his teammates better. He is a team-first guy who leads by example.

Recommendation: Tony Crews is a very competitive 2-sport varsity athlete and the type of player you want up to bat in crucial parts of the game. This strong-armed centerfielder is a natural at reading the ball and chasing it down with his speed. He has strong base-stealing skills that puts pressure on pitchers.

Recommendation: 4.25.18 scouting report - "6-foot, 165-pound" (note: I'm still growing - now stand 6-1, 190 pounds) "athletically-built right-handed hitting outfielder. Offensively, balanced, slightly open setup, smooth load, pronounced leg lift stride, maintains good balance throughout. Line drive approach, level barrel path, hit to all fields in-game with hard contact. Showed the ability to make adjustments and learn from each at-bat. A tough out, consistently fouled balls off until he got something he could handle. Moves athletically on the base paths. Against Antioch, recorded Grayslake Central's only three hits of the game and played a part in all three runs scored. Finished 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored.
Additional Information: 8.07.18 scouting report - "6-foot-1, 185-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder, well-proportioned, athletic frame. Tall, balanced setup, back load, short leg lift stride. Short, level bat path, flashed line drives ability with rhythm in hands, easy effort, exit velocity topped 86 mph from a tee. Short, fluid footwork, clean exchanges, plays tall. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot, early release, throws topped 80 mph from the outfield. 7.20 runner in the 60" ( note: ran 7.16 in April 2018 PB
