Recommendation: As a current assistant coach at Modesto Christian High School, and a former scout with the Milwaukee Brewers, it is my pleasure to recommend Robert C. Garcia.

Robert is in the 11th grade at Modesto Christian High School in Modesto, CA. He is 6’-1" and weighs 197 pounds with an athletic build. He is a left handed pitcher that bats right handed and also plays first base and right field.

Robert Garcia’s’ work habits are outstanding as he shows a strong commitment to the MC program and game of baseball itself. In addition to playing with the high school team, Robert takes private lessons from a former minor leaguer on a regular basis, and was selected last summer and for the summer of 2013 to pitch for the prestige Trosky travel team. Robert was the only high school player to be selected for this team out of the central valley of California.

Currently Robert’s velocity is at 82 to 84 mph and has touched 86 mph. Overall mechanics are good and he continually asks for assistance as he always strides for improvement. I would project that Robert will be nearing 90 mph by the summer of 2014.

Robert displays a good feel of his circle change along with spotting it down in the strike zone most often. His curve ball is adequate and will improve with additional practice.

Robert has displayed power during batting practice and has a short swing that will play at the college level.

Robert is a young junior and he will not be 17 years old until June of this year (DOB: 6-14-1996). He is a mature 16 year old and has plus makeup and work habits. There are never any issues with Robert on or off the field and is a credit to the MC baseball program.

Feel free to contact me as you may want to discuss Robert Garcia.

Kind regards,

Manuel Katotakis
