Recommendation: To Whom It May Concern:

This is a letter of recommendation for Michael Dasch. My name is Brad Owen. I played collegiate lacrosse at Notre Dame from 1995 — 1999. I’ve been coaching youth and high school lacrosse for the past 7 years in San Diego. I met Michael this winter at tryouts for our RC Elite Carolina Club lacrosse team.

Immediately, I was impressed with Michael’s lacrosse skills. He hadn’t been on our team before and, amongst 300 hundred other players trying out, he stood out as a player with above average skills.

Michael made our team and went on to be on our starting midfield line. As he was from a high school that doesn’t normally play with our Club team, it took him a little longer to feel comfortable playing with our guys. However, after the first tournament he earned the respect of his teammate with his excellent play, hard work and hustle.

Michael has a great attitude and is a pleasure to coach. He listens well, understands the game and is always looking to elevate his level of play.

Should you have any questions about Michael, please don’t hesitate to call or email me.

Recommendation: Love how this kid plays. Speed is top notch and it seems as though he is everywhere on the field. Opening clip of him winning the face and sticking the corner is awesome. Can split defenders at any moment and his shot on the run is great. Would like to see him work on his lefty shot on the run. Great ability to draw a slide and then show his vision of the game by being able to dump it to the attack. Love how scrappy he is with ground balls. His on ball defense is really impressive, solid and fundamental. Would like to see him beef up a little bit, but its rare to see a player this dynamic on both sides of the ball. Ability to clear the ball is also impressive. Definitely the well rounded player that college coaches, at every level, are looking for.

Recommendation: Michael Dasch Is a terrific young lacrosse player. I have watched him develop over the past three years from a solid team player to his team's best player. Michael has terrific speed and field IQ. It is obvious that he has grown up around the game…..There's something to be said about the son of a lacrosse coach. Michael has developed into a very good two way option at midfield. He is tenacious in ground balls and is tough on defense. He is obviously his teams first choice on offense. I am impressed with his work ethic and his positive attitude. He will continue to develop in size but already plays with a big heart. Mike is a coach's dream and can control the flow of the game while on the field. He will be an excellent addition to any lacrosse program.

Recommendation: Michael Dasch has all the tools that make a quality lacrosse player. I have watched him develop the past three years through my camps, leagues and by coaching against him. When playing against him, he is front and center when developing a game plan to try to beat his team. He has a terrific shot and is quite accurate. He has great speed and really uses it in the open field. Being from a lacrosse family, he has a high lacrosse IQ and it shows when he plays. He is not afraid to dump the ball when the situation warrants and his leadership skills help get his fellow teammates involved on the field. Because of his agility and foot speed, his defense is also quite good. He plays position and doesn't try to be the hero with the big checks. I really like that about him and I think his goalies do too. He is tenacious on ground balls using his speed to get to the ball before his opponents but can also mix it up as he is fearless on the field. He works hard and has a top notch attitude. If he continues to lift and condition regularly, along with keeping his body agile, he will be an optimal recruit for any college, someone I would love to have play for me. I stand by and recommend Michael Dasch as a fine lacrosse player, good student and most importantly, a quality young man.
