I have always enjoyed and excelled in school but my passion has always been baseball. It has been a part of my life for the last ten years. The game has taught me how to deal with pressure, work as a team and accept both successes and failures. I have made lifelong friendships and lasting memories and hope to play for many more years.

Most people don't know that I was an elite competitive swimmer and that I am the current 10U Swim Record Holder for the City of El Paso 100 yard Individual Medley with a record time of 1:18.03. I set this record in 2011 and check on it yearly to see if it has been broken. Six years now and still holding strong. |

Darren Blakely is a longtime minor-leaguer coming out of the University of Hawaii and played for Team USA in the 2003 World Cup in Cuba.
Blakely was drafted in 1995 by the Braves but set off for Hawaii and the Angels took him after his junior year in 1998. In all, he played 11 seasons in the minors with his last stint coming in 2010 with the Tucson Toros in the Golden Baseball League. |
