| Recommendation: | Spencer is a very athletic player that continues to show improvement in all areas of the game but most specifically overall strength creating a lot of upside. He has a very aggressive swing that generates power to all fields showing big time pop. Defensively he has showed range and control with arm strength to play corner infield position. He has a quick arm and has shown the ability to throw from multiple arm slots across the infield. On the mound, his 3/4 arm slot creates deception for any hitter. He demonstrates a calm and controlled delivery and tempo with a mix of three pitches to keep hitters off balance. Velocity continues to increase with each season and overall increased physical strength. |

| Recommendation: | I am writing this letter on behalf of Spencer Horwath, a sophomore graduating in 2021 at Sunrise Mountain High School in Peoria, Arizona. I am the freshman baseball coach at Sunrise Mountain and Spencer was a member of the team. I have known Spencer for five years and have watched him grow as a person and an athlete. Spencer is a goal-oriented, dedicated and self-motivated individual. His competitive nature makes him an outstanding performer under pressure. He also displays prodigious sportsmanship at all times and is an excellent role model. Spencer is a tremendous leader and understands the importance of leading by example. He is well respected by his teammates and is extremely unselfish. I use Spencer as an example to each player that comes to me for training, not only for his work ethic on the field, but also for his work ethic off the field as an academic athlete. As an educator and coach, I believe Spencer epitomizes what a student/athlete should be. He possesses the qualities necessary to excel in college and in his future career.
