PERSONAL STATEMENT
Baseball has been a big part of my life since I started playing t-ball at 8 yrs old. I've always loved being part of a team and have played baseball, basketball, and football since I can remember. It has always been a goal of mine to be a scholar athlete and work hard in and outside of the classroom. I hold myself to a high standard and work extremely hard to be the best I can be, and look forward to continuing my baseball and academic journey in college.

Recommendation: Quade Swearingen is currently a Junior at Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Arizona. He will graduate in 2021 and at the time carries a 3.4 GPA. An incredibly physical and athletic dual-sport athlete, Quade has excelled as both a Quarterback on our school’s football team and a corner outfielder/pitcher on the baseball team. I have felt since his freshman year in high school that Quade is destined to become a D1 caliber baseball player, and in my opinion, this has not changed over the last couple of years. He shows a great amount of respect and coachability, as well as the fortitude to work tirelessly on his game, both in the cage and in the weight room. At the plate, Quade has extremely quick hands, and the ability to drive the ball with regularity to all fields. His combination of both power and advanced speed, make him a top to middle of the order guy for any program. I think what is most desirable about his makeup is the fact that he is still on the upward trajectory of reaching his true ability on the diamond…he has the chance to become a special find for any college program. In the outfield, he has progressed immensely showing the ability to effectively track the ball with efficient routes and put himself in situations to always look for the next play. This past season, Quade also willingly answered a need for us by jumping on the mound and pitching in relief. At times he ran his fastball up to 83-84 with surprising precision and flashed a very solid change and breaking pitch. This definitely speaks volumes on his athletic ability to adapt and perform in any situation needed. Recommendation: I have coached Quade for 3 years going on 4 years. During this time he has shown the ability to be an impact player in 6A football in Arizona (highest division in Arizona). Quade has played multiple positions for us but his best position is Quarterback. Quade is 5'11" and 195 pounds, he has great feet and good arm strength. Quade has continued to get better in the pocket and is very dangerous outside the pocket. His scrambling skills are very impressive. His work ethic is outstanding whether it be in the football meeting room, the field, watching film, or in the classroom. Quade has been a true leader for our program. Lastly, the most impressive aspect of Quade Swearingen is that he is a better person than athlete. Quade will be a valuable asset to any program.
