PERSONAL STATEMENT
After high school baseball tryouts were complete my freshman year I found myself "below the line". Which meant I was in jeopardy of being cut from the team. After learning I was below the line, I knew I had to work hard to make a team. I made the team, as a “swing player”. Which means I pitched for the freshman team and played 2nd base on the frosh/soph team. I kept working hard and as a sophomore I was the starter for the JV team. As a junior, I earned my spot as the second day starter.

PERSONAL INFORMATION		  
Describe Your Playing Style?: On the mound, I focus on executing my pitch. I am not afraid of taking risks. For example, I love to throw 3-2 breaking balls or even challenge a hitter inside. I give my 100% on the field and off the field. The competition of the game drives me. When I'm not pitching, I encourage my teammates and try to be leader for the lower classmen.

Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: Max Scherzer is one of my favorite athletes because we have similar movement on our fastballs. His passion for the game and his competitiveness is something I model after.
Other activites and interests: When I'm not playing baseball, I enjoy playing basketball, fishing, and ping pong. I helped coach my younger brother's little league team. Being a mentor to him and his teammates was inspiring to me. I enjoy doing things with my family and friends.
