PERSONAL STATEMENT
Baseball is very special to me because I love the competition and teamwork that comes naturally with the game. I want to keep playing baseball for as long as I can, and the next step for me would therefore be college. It is also very important to me that I get the best education possible, which is why I want to go to a school where I can combine my athletics and academics.

Recommendation: Jake has never allowed his label as "undersized" to deter his game. His obvious key attribute of arm strength is not what makes Jake such a good ball player. His "coachability," work ethic, respect for coaches, teammates, umpires are bonuses. Above average running speed, exceptional hand/glove skills and his versatility would bring great value to any college club. But my favorite thing about Jake is his temperament and demeanor on the field. He never gets too high or too low, which makes his bulldog attitude and intense focus ideal in high pressure situations.
Additional Information: Coach Duman was previously the Junior Varsity Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Cherry Creek High School and coached Jake for two years before taking head coaching job at Rock Canyon.
