PERSONAL STATEMENT
My name is Jackson Hagen and I am a 3B/MIF from Overland Park, KS and I play for Building Champions Baseball Academy. From a young age, I have had a passion to do my best and perform at the highest level at whatever I do. That passion has applied directly to the way I approach school and baseball. I am looking to continue my academic and baseball career in college on a competitive/hard working team and at a high academic/reputable institution.

This profile serves as a letter of recommendation for Jackson Hagen. Jackson has been a part of our baseball program the past 3 years and we look forward to him being a key component as we seek another state championship next spring. To begin with Jackson is an extremely strong student in the classroom with a strong GPA in a very competitive high school setting. He is committed and focused both in the classroom and on the baseball field. Jackson will be successful in whatever pursuit he decides to focus on and his dedication, work ethic and his will to outwork others will serve him well in the future whether on the baseball field or in the work force.
Jackson is a solid defensive player. For us we project him as a corner infielder. He could play 1st base but for us he will be our starting 3rd baseman next spring. He has a plus arm, good lateral quickness, great hands and strong footwork. He is knowledgeable about the game regarding game situations and positioning and his teammates like and respect him. He is a strong leader who leads by example. Rather than drawing attention to himself he focuses on our team. Jackson has good bat speed resulting in good power and the ability to drive the ball to all fields. He does a nice job going the opposite way and taking what his opponent gives him. He is constantly striving to better himself as a student, a player, a teammate and a person. He is a strong communicator with me and our staff and for us that’s critical and a sign of his maturity. I have coached high school baseball for the past 20 years and I believe his skills will allow him to make a strong transition to the college game. I have enjoyed watching him develop into the player he is today and I’m thankful to have been given the opportunity to coach Jackson and I’m proud that he is a part of our program. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
