My name is Deegan Cordova and I am currently a Junior in the graduating class of 2023 at Lake Havasu High School, in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I stand at 6’2 and weigh 180lbs. I am a right-handed hitter and throw from the right side . My primary position is Catcher, I live behind the plate. I have also pitched and played infield in many games at my current level. On the field, I am a communicator and value the feeling of being a cohesive unit almost like a family. Over the past 10 years, I have traveled and branched out from my hometown to larger cities. I have done so in order to strengthen and diversify my level of play and to receive more constructive feedback. Baseball and school take up the majority of my time, however, In my spare time I enjoy coaching Little League Softball. It is important to me to help other athletes that love the game the same way I do. During the season, I participate in weight training and conditioning multiple days a week with my team. During the off-season I spend my time staying in shape by running, weight training, catching and hitting with an instructor. I aspire to play at the collegiate level, while earning a degree that will allow me continued success in the future. Baseball has provided me with many of the tools needed to successfully earn an undergraduate degree. It has provided me with a solid foundation in hard-work, determination, resilience and accountability. I have tremendous respect for the game, my teammates and my coaches. Without my teammates and coaches, I wouldn’t be the player that I am today. If afforded the opportunity to play collegiate ball, I want to assure any coaches that find an interest in me , that I will continue to strive to improve my mental and physical game in both academics and in baseball, while always encouraging my teammates to do the same.
