PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a business finance transfer student at Saint Mary's College of California in Moraga, CA starting fall 2019. I played baseball for Santa Rosa Athletics 2019 collegiate summer team. Attended San Diego Co. Dist. Community College in San Diego, CA 2018/2019. I played two years of baseball for Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA 2016/2017 & 2017/2018 and discovered in April 2018 that I had a 75% partial forearm stress fracture that was partially healed and lined up straight, and realized that the onset of this injury could have been Oct. 2017 to Jan. 2018 when the injury was thought to have been something else through April 2018. The hospital physician told me to not pick up a baseball for one month, and the follow-up x-ray in May 2018 showed my arm was fully healed so the doctor said I could play ball again. I will work harder than anybody in front of me for a position, no matter where on the field it might be. I enjoy being an athlete for my college because I get to represent the community I live in.

To Whom It May Concern:
I have known Colton Crabtree for the last two years as the Head Varsity Coach of the Ukiah High School baseball team. From this experience, I can say with confidence that Colton is a dedicated student-athlete who leads others by setting a strong example with his effort and intensity both in the classroom and on the playing field.
Colton’s drive is very evident in his home life and extra-curricular activities. He is a loyal son who consistently demonstrates his parent’s strong moral values through his interactions with people. Colton is without a doubt one of the hardest workers in our program, which was evident in him earning 1st Team All-League Pitcher as a Junior as well as team MVP. Colton’s commitment and leadership in any activity he involves himself in is without a doubt his best of many fine qualities.
Colton’s goal is to earn a Bachelor’s degree while competing at the collegiate baseball level. Throughout the time I have known Colton he has displayed the moral character, leadership, discipline, organization and commitment necessary to become a successful student-athlete at the next level. He would be an asset both athletically and academically to any university. If you have any questions about Colton please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter on behalf of Colton Crabtree. I have known Colton for three years as a student in my Leadership Program and a Scholar Athlete on the Ukiah Varsity Baseball Team. During these three years he has proven to be an outstanding asset to our program, the school, and the Ukiah Community overall. Colton was a member and team leader of our Varsity Baseball Team as a Sophomore in 2013. He was the guy on the mound for our toughest games and proved himself to the league as a young man who could dominate a game. Colton has an above average arm and has since developed his off speed pitches making him much more of a pitcher rather than a thrower. Colton has an outstanding knowledge of the game and lives to play. League Coaches recognized him by naming him All League in 2013.

Colton has unlimited potential and comes to you with my highest recommendation. I truly believe that any organization he represents will be better off having been associated with him. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding Colton Crabtree and thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Recommendation: Sirs,
It is with great pleasure that I am able to recommend Colton for College Baseball. I have known Colton for 12 plus years. I followed and coached him in Little League, Babe Ruth and High School. I was his JV Coach at Ukiah High School. In 32 years of Coaching, he is the best all around player that I have ever coached! He can play any of the 9 positions on the field and pitch in the mid to high 80's right now. He has just begun to fill out his frame and will represent a very solid 200 lb.'er by his Sophomore year in college. The two things that separate Colton from other kids his age is his absolute love of baseball. It's 24/7 for this kid. He eats, drinks and sleeps it. The second would be his ability to come up big in clutch situations as a position player and hitter. I watched him twice in two games at the Western Babe Ruth Regional's with two outs in the 9th, take a pitcher deep to win each game. All of this with two strikes and two outs! Nothing fazes him. He defines competitor and his teammates love and respect him. He is the MAN at UHS in baseball and is very well respected by the other coaches in the NBL. He has faced top competition in summer Travel ball and I see him playing Centerfield and pitching at the college level. He has great speed and will make a great leadoff hitter at the next level. As he develops his change up, he will become a top flight college starter. Please feel free to contact me.
