PERSONAL INFORMATION

Describe Your Playing Style?: Composed, strategic, and controlled. When I pitch, I focus on hitting my spots. I make adjustments to be successful. When there are errors in the field, I focus on attacking the next batter.
Personal Statement: What sets me apart from others is my attitude and effort. I maintain a positive attitude in everything I do, regardless of the circumstances. In addition to my positive attitude, I strategically work harder than my peers and always give my best effort. My attitude and effort are unrivaled. I will not be outworked on the field, at the gym, or in the classroom.
Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: Max Scherzer, because he is a ferocious competitor. I also admire Stephen Curry, Madison Bumgarner, Felix Hernandez, and Russell Wilson, because these players dominate the game and are the best of the best.
Other activites and interests: I attend church regularly. I hold a leadership role as Ambassador for the high school youth ministry and I serve Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister. I love traveling with my parents and brother. I enjoy watching old movies with my dad. I follow major league baseball and analyze the game (especially the pitching). I spend time weightlifting and working out at the gym.
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: Over my whole life, I’ve been raised around baseball. My dad taught me the game and has supported me and encouraged me to do well. I’ve always known more about baseball than my friends and teammates, and because I learned so much early on, that helped my love of the sport grow. In more recent years, Joe Taylor from Portland Baseball Club has been a huge influence on my pitching career. He’s taught me everything from arm care to mechanics to self-reliance to how to be a true winner. He’s helped me realize that failure is not an option and to hold myself to the highest standard.
About Me: I actually love the fact that baseball is a slow game. Because it’s slow, I enjoy it all the more. I get to be around my friends and I get to do the thing I love most.

I am an optimistic and caring person. I stay positive even in adverse situations and help support those around me.
