PERSONAL STATEMENT
Baseball is a very important part of my life. I have played and loved the game as long as I can remember. I have learned many lessons from baseball such as the value of hard work and importance of cooperation. I carry these traits into my academic life which is equally important to me and my future. I look forward to the opportunity to further my education at an elite university while continuing to play the game I love.

Describe Your Playing Style?: Throughout my life, I was raised to treat others with respect and if you want something, you have to work hard to achieve it. I take that style into the way I play baseball. I am willing to put in the work to improve every day while maintaining respect for my teammates, opponents and the game itself.

Other activites and interests: Coaching baseball, spending time with friends, working out, watching the Dbacks and Chicago Bears.
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: My grandpa taught me to play baseball in his backyard as soon as I could walk. I learned the mechanics of hitting, throwing and pitching as well as the history of the game. He is an old school baseball fan - we even went to the Baseball Hall of Fame together! I am thankful he is my baseball mentor.
About Me: I am a self driven individual which has served me well in the classroom. I am proud of my academic record and strive to challenge myself and improve where I can. This type of dedication has also helped with baseball but I realize I can't do it alone. I need help from coaches, trainers and teammates to improve everyday. I also have a close family and wouldn't be the same without them.
