Personal Statement: Baseball is everything to me. I work hard at it and practice every day. I like the mental aspect of baseball as well as the physical aspect. I want to play baseball as far as I can go, and I will always take the lessons I learn from baseball into my life.

Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: I have been working with Jamal Harrison as my batting coach since I was seven years old, and later as a coach and a trainer. He has helped me with every aspect of the game and has pushed me to become a better person and player. We have a deep mutual trust. I like how he cares very deeply about the players he works with, and his focus is always on our development. Our skill and personal growth is more important to him than individual wins. He maintains a larger perspective.
