PERSONAL STATEMENT
My goal is to make it into a good college with both an excellent baseball and academic program, and to work my hardest towards improving my skills to give myself the best opportunity in baseball and life.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Describe Your Playing Style?: I am a two-way RH player, predominantly pitcher and corner infield. On the mound, I am an aggressive pitcher who looks to challenge the hitters, utilizing my fastball and secondary pitches with good durability. My fastball averages 84-87mph and is an effective pitch when used in conjunction with my offspeed, especially my changeup. The changeup has excellent movement and can be thrown confidently in any situation or pitch sequence, collecting plenty of swing and misses and weak hit balls. As a hitter, I am a contact player with good power and a gap to gap to approach, executing situational hitting when required. Can bat anywhere in the lineup with effective results, adapting gameplay to help contribute to success. Solid defensively at 3rd and 1st with good range and good arm strength.
Personal Statement: My goal is to make it into a good college with both an excellent baseball and academic program, and to work my hardest towards improving my skills to give myself the best opportunity in baseball and life.
Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: Giancarlo Stanton, Jose Fernandez and especially Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani’s ability to hit and pitch successfully at the highest level is what I am inspired by and look up to.
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: All my past and present coaches have helped me to the position I am in today, in conjunction with the help of my mom and dad. They have provided me with opportunities to improve as a person and a baseball player, and I am grateful for that.
About Me: I was born in the US and lived a lot of my life in Japan, so I understand the struggles and huge effort and commitment you have to put in if you want to make it to the highest level. Training and playing baseball in that Japanese environment for a number of years has helped embed me with the qualities needed to succeed in a college environment.
