PERSONAL STATEMENT
One thing about myself that I always try to live by is the importance of grades. My whole life I have focused on maintaining excelling grades. Because of this I am understanding of what work needs to be put in to be successful in any aspect of life. In eight grade, I really began to love baseball and began working more vigorously. It came naturally to work like this since I am used to giving 100% effort at anything I do. One obstacle I overcame in my athletic career was weight loss. It was hard to juggle, but I focused on running more after practices and late at night. It took about a year for me to get at a weight where it didn't hinder my movement and athletic ability. The journey of weight loss is often overlooked, but it is a challenging feat that guided me into a more physical lifestyle and continues to remind me to push myself through future obstacles.
