Denny has been actively involved either playing or coaching baseball since 1972 in Wiesbaden, Germany; Attending Seaside High School in Monterey & Highlands High School in Sacramento California, Denny was a two sport student athlete playing baseball for the Scots and football for the Spartans. He graduated a full year and a half early as a junior enlisting in the United States Marine Corp in 1978. Denny served six proud years.
In 1991 Denny began his baseball managing, coaching & playing career for 18U, 28U NABA - National Adult Baseball Association winning three consecutive Golden Gate Champions in 1998 to 2000. National 35U and 45U Championships in 2006 and 2009. Also managing & playing for the MABL - Men’s Adult Baseball League in Sacramento. Denny managed the Sacramento 18U Giants under the tutorship of former MLB Phillies Pitcher Lowell Palmer.
Denny now resides in Sacramento where he manages and coaches for Gary Powers of IBAC Baseball and East Sacramento Babe Ruth. His love of the game is outmatched only by his love of the camaraderie of what the game provides. The discipline, dedication and determination to play the greatest game ever is what drives his passion to mentor and give back his knowledge to young ball players today.
