Recommendation: “Hoyt is one of the most athletic and intelligent goalies I have coached. A two-sport athlete (linebacker in football), who has earned three CIF championships in four high school seasons. His size and athletic ability make him uniquely qualified to compete at a very high level and allow him to do good things in and out of the crease. He has a great work ethic and is determined to get the most from himself. His hands are extremely quick. His intelligence enables him to have a very good understanding of his opponents' tendencies, strengths and weaknesses. A high-level leader.”

Recommendation: “Hoyt has the ability to control games with sound technique saving the ball, the ability to direct defenses with in-game adjustments and dish out in-stride outlet passes. He has fundamentally sound which allows him to make the saves he should and many that he shouldn't. As a rising Junior he has a tremendous amount of upside and is already working on his craft 5 days after the end of our season.”

Recommendation: Hoyt is a category buster: he is both a big dude in the net and also a fantastic athlete with quick hands, feet, and reflexes. Against San Ramon Valley Hoyt was equally consistent and exhilarating; making the saves from deep that he should and a few on the crease that he shouldn’t. Once he has made the save, Hoyt is a capable outlet passer and stick handler who can use his athleticism to clear the ball himself.
