PERSONAL STATEMENT
Baseball has always been my passion and my focus in athletics. I consider myself a student of the game from more than just an athletic perspective. Character is very important to me and I take pride in my work ethic as a student athlete. I have constantly set goals for myself and achieved them such as making the varsity team my Freshman year, becoming a full-time starter my sophomore year and making the Honor Roll each quarter.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Describe Your Playing Style?: I take pride in my defense, especially my range and arm strength. As a hitter, I make sure I have a plan before I get to the plate. I can hit to all fields, get the ball in the air or lay down a bunt.

Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: Buck O'Neil: He was a great ambassador for the game into his 90's. I admire his love for baseball, his career (player, manager, MLB coach, and scout) and especially his outlook on life. In spite of the obstacles he faced (segregation, losing time to WWII, missing the Hall of Fame by one vote) he always looked for the best in life and from people in every situation on and off the field.
