Recommendation: Tremendous worker, has already gained 15 pounds of strength during wrestling season and is not done growing, wrestled all year on the Varsity. Our best lifter in the weight room for his age and will continue to get bigger and stronger. Loves to work out and is a relentless worker. Cousin plays for Ohio State as a DT. Relentless blocker who gets to the second level with ease and finishes blocks. Named to Tom Lemming’s All Underclassmen Team for the 2010 season. Should be a big time recruit.

Title: Head Varsity Wrestling Coach
Organization / School: Naperville North HS
Recommendation: Colin Goebel is one of the most dedicated athletes that I have seen in my 15 years of coaching- Colin is dedicated to the idea of competition and preparation as opposed to most student-athletes who wish to get better; Colin works to get better. One of Colin’s strengths is his willingness to accept coaching suggestions and implement those suggestions into his workouts and competitions immediately. Colin became our varsity heavyweight this year earning the position over 6 other heavyweights including a returning varsity senior and Colin’s performance helped earn our team 2nd in the prestigious DVC Conference. Colin’s work ethic in our room raised our entire standard as the other student-athletes were inspired to work harder to keep up and with this Colin brought an increased expectation that strength-training become the standard for our varsity wrestlers- We look forward to Colin leading our wrestling team these next two years !
