Recommendation: Tristan is a versatile defenseman that has a nose for the ball. Although he plays LSM the majority of the time, he would have a smooth transition into the close defensive position. The first thing that stands out with Tristan is his presence on the field when coming off the wing. He is a huge contributor to ensuring possession time. His ground ball skills, stick skills and understanding of making the extra pass while handling the ball in congested situations are examples of his great lacrosse IQ. When it comes to one on one defense he has a great understanding of playing with his feet first. He doesn’t have a check first mentality but that being said he understands when to use his stick. Tristan plays team defense and isn’t one to get caught up in his individual match up. He is always playing on a string and focused on off ball help. He plays with a “team defense” mentality. He is a mature, athletic defenseman that understands how to play the game of lacrosse.
