Life is about being better than you were the day before, and I take that mentality with me, on and off the field, as well as in the classroom. I love the challenges of being a student-athlete, it keeps you focused and determined; there is no greater feeling than excelling on the diamond and as a student.

Recommendation: Trevor Burrows has been an integral part of the Dayton High School baseball program for the last three years. I have been fortunate to know and coach Trevor before he entered high school. During this time, I have seen him grow and display several qualities that have made him an asset to the program. Trevor has always shown great determination, competitiveness, and leadership.
Trevor has been more than an ideal student-athlete. He has shown the ability to balance schoolwork and athletics and preform both at a high level. This has been demonstrated by him, earning the honor of 1stTeam All-State as a Pitcher and being on the Academic All-State team. He is an incredibly smart young man who expects the best out of himself both in the classroom and on the field.
As a member of the baseball program he is looked up to by his teammates as well as the younger baseball players in our community. He has been the ace of our staff since he stepped on the field his freshman year and has put in the work to ensure that he remains not only our teams best pitcher but also one of the top pitchers in our league. He often does extra work outside of practice whether it be extra conditioning for arm and body care, or extra work on the field to get the field game ready. Trevor entered high school with the goal at playing baseball at the next level and I have seen him work tirelessly to ensure he reaches that goal. He has been extremely dedicated to the sport of baseball, continuing his weights and throwing program while also playing on the basketball team to ensure he doesn’t fall behind in the short window of time once basketball season ends and baseball season begins. The passion and determination he has for the game will carry him to future success, both on and off the field.
