PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am determined to compete harder than any player on the court. It is this mentality that has allowed me to gain the respect of my teammates. They value my work ethic off the court and how I approach the point guard position on the court.

PERSONAL INFORMATION		  
Describe Your Playing Style?: I have been described by my coaches and teammates as a pure point guard, a court general. I can get my team set-up in the offense, distribute the ball and score when the opportunity presents itself. I respect the playing style of Russell Westbrook and approach offense like he does with the belief that I can get by anyone in front of me. I compete equally hard on defense and maintain a consistent defensive presence. In the 2015 April and May AAU season I had the highest average of combined blocks and steals per game.
Personal Statement: I am determined to compete harder than any player on the court. It is this mentality that has allowed me to gain the respect of my teammates. They value my work ethic off the court and how I approach the point guard position on the court.
Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: My favorite athletes are Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul. What I most admire about Westbrook is his determination. He is very driven and has been described as having the "drive of Kobe Bryant and the athleticism of Lebron James". His speed and athleticism is a tough combination and it makes it difficult for anyone to guard him.

Chris Paul exhibits all of the outstanding qualities and skills a point guard should possess - he is the best NBA floor general. His coach, Doc Rivers regards him as the best defensive point guard he has ever seen, he owns the seconds highest career efficiency rating (second only to LeBron), he's led the league in assist ratio three out of the last four seasons, he's regarded as the leagues best team orchestrator and floor general, and he has a competitive drive and unparalleled work ethic. Chris Paul defines the point guard position and is a role model for me in how to continue to develop my leadership and increase my effectiveness on the court.
Other activites and interests: In addition to playing basketball, I have some natural talents in math and science. I take all honors classes in both of those subject areas. I have entered and won science fairs and participated in summer robotics camps.
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: My father, Amp Lee, has been the greatest influence on my sports career. Last year I had the opportunity to see my father inducted into the Florida State Football Hall of Fame. He was drafted in the second round of the 1992 NFL draft, 45th overall and he was named team MVP when he played for the Rams in 1998. My father has been able to teach me what it takes to play at the highest level - the mind-set, IQ and athletic ability that is required to compete and succeed. He is my coach and works with me on the critical details to perfect my game.
