There are many reasons why I think being a student-athlete is great. Describe Your Playing Style?: I have a conservative play style that emphasizes wedge accuracy, short game and putting. However, if the need arises, I do not shy away from big shots, and will not be afraid to be aggressive. My ball striking and distance have been known to be my strength among my fellow players.

Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: My swing coach Eric Meeks has been the biggest influence on my golf career, especially heading into a possible college career. When my golf game was in a rut and I did not see any opportunities on my horizon, Eric worked very hard with me and opened my eyes to pursuing a college golf career.
About Me: My full name is Nicholas Adam Herrero. I am 50% Puerto Rican and the other 50% is an American mix of immigrant ethnicities. I enjoy playing golf, primarily, but I also enjoy watching and playing sports, especially basketball and football. I am very academically inclined, and I have been the top of the class in academics for as long as I could remember. I love to travel, and my parents have graciously taken me on many trips around the globe, where I can say I have been to six continents and over 20 different countries in my life.
