PERSONAL STATEMENT
Baseball has been a big part of my life so far. It's helped me come out of my shell and has encouraged me to make friends. I have lots of good memories so far from the sport and I wish to create a lot more of them in the years to come as a student athlete.

Recommendation: My name is Darren Fullerton and I have played baseball at the U/19 International level for Australia as well as in the semi-pro Australian Baseball League.

I am currently the Head Coach of the Canterbury Vikings State League Club in Australia, the Head Coach of the Cronulla Junior Baseball Representative Programs and have led numerous successful junior baseball programs including having recently been the Head Coach of the Australian team at the 2015 Little League World Series.
I first coached Murray Lugg as an Under 18 player with the Canterbury Vikings as well as observing him as a representative of Country NSW. In that year Murray exhibited power and consistency at the plate and good athleticism and arm strength in the outfield.

He was a key player in Country NSW's Bronze medal in the 2015 National Championship.

The next season Murray became a member of my First Grade squad in our Men's Open team at Canterbury and made a significant contribution offensively and defensively.

Above all Murray displayed an incredible dedication driving 4 hours each way to most games and always prepared himself impeccably to play despite the distance. He prioritized his studies when appropriate to do so and has always been a level headed, disciplined, courteous and diligent athlete.

I would thoroughly recommend him as an asset to any College Coach looking for a power hitting outfielder with a calm disposition and tremendous work ethic.

Recommendation: Murray is a player with the Canterbury Viking and represented NSW Country in the u16 and u18’s National Youth Championships.

He is a hardworking-dedicated athlete and is a very respectable person. In the 4 years I have been involved with Murray as a person and baseballer he has displayed willingness to make adjustments as a hitter and outfielder which has resulted in him evolving into a first rate player with a deep understanding of the right way the game should be played both offensively and defensively.

He has a strong athletic body, who makes consistent contact at the plate with gap to gap power. He has a good knowledge of the strike zone and squares the ball up consistently. As a base runner Murray has great instincts. He has excellent range in the outfield and a plus arm.

Murray is also a fine student and has been able to combine his baseball commitments with academics. I have no doubt he will continue this as a student athlete at college.

I have no hesitation in recommending Murray as a Baseball Student at a USA College.
