It is my pleasure to share the wonderful qualities of Mikaela Livengood. I have had the opportunity to coach Mikaela for two years. We have had great individual players prior to Mikaela along with two teams that placed at state. Even though Mikaela has only completed her sophomore year, she appears to be on track to reach higher levels than any other player I have had in the past.
Mikaela Livengood flat out loves to play the game and has a passion for golf unparalleled to any player I have ever coached. She has committed herself to striving to be the best player she can be. She is self- driven and motivated to reach her goals. She was All-Conference her sophomore year and finished 12th individually at the Iowa High School Girls Golf State Tournament. In the summer Mikaela participates in the Iowa Junior PGA golf tournaments.
Mikaela has proven to be dependable, trustworthy, and coachable. She is the team leader and frequently displays that to her teammates through her hard work and dedication. My players have seen through Mikaela that time and effort produce better results. I look forward to seeing Mikaela grow in her leadership role as she continues to take the team under her wing and let them know that she would love nothing more than to have the team qualify for state.
I have enjoyed seeing Mikaela grow as person and as a golfer. Her personal qualities and academics are strong enough to stand on their own. She is an excellent student, musically talented, and manages to hold down a job as well. Mikaela Livengood is the real deal. Any college would be lucky to have her.
