Kobe Greenhalgh is a 5’10” 176 lbs athletic shortstop from Victoria, Australia. He has the versatility to play all infield positions and LF. Kobe does a good job of attacking the ball at the shortstop position. He also has good footwork while fielding. Quick release to first which is always a bonus. On the hitting side Kobe is a big strong kid with huge power potential. Kobe currently has an exit velocity of (98mph) with a Compact stroke that drives the ball to the big parts of the field. Kobe’s approach at the plate is very simple with a gap to gap approach. Kobe makes great use of the weights rooms too maintaining a max squat of ( 441lbs). Kobe runs a (6.91 sec 60 on electric time) which shows in the game running hard 90s around the bases. I believe Kobe can be an impact player highly competitive Junior College Programs. Recommendation: To whom it may concern,
I am writing on behalf of Kobe Greenhalgh, as a reference to his ability to be a collegiate student athlete in his baseball career. I have had the privilege of working with Kobe for the past 5 years as his baseball coach in Geelong, Victoria. On the field Kobe has had to deal with adversity in which has given him the resilience to always find ways to get better and train harder to succeed. The traits that I have seen displayed on the baseball field, passionate, hard working, coachable, driven and competitive are great qualities that will only grow stronger as he continues to develop.
I first met Kobe in October 2013, he was a very happy and talkative kid. He was my first player in Australia who I started giving private lessons to. Though Kobe was not one of the best kids in our area, he was determined to ask questions, work hard and get better day in and day out. We are very fortunate to have a lot of players who have played at a high level at our club in Geelong, and I would always witness Kobe going up to every single one of them to ask a question or two.
Through his dedication, Kobe has made an impact at our Melbourne Aces high performance program. With this opportunity he has shown that he is able to compete with the best kids in the state and be a standout with his tools. We put our players through challenging trainings and Kobe always finds ways to improve himself as a player and excited to see what the future holds for him.
In my career I was fortunate to play at numerous levels at a Division 1 program at Southern Utah University to Independent ball and affiliated ball with the Seattle Mariners. Having seen a wide variety of players at the elite level I understand the attributes needed to be a successful teammate. How Kobe goes about his business on and off the field is going to give any coach and university pride in calling him a student athlete in their program.

Recommendation: For the past 12 months I have had Kobe as apart of our senior men’s club team which plays in the state competition. Kobe has a work ethic that is second to none, never misses a practice as well as working hard outside of practice with private lessons and junior high performance programmes putting him on the field most days of the week.
Kobe is a fundamentally sound infielder capable of playing 2nd , 3rd and SS and featured in our 1st team on a number of occasions. With his arm strength and baseball ability he would have no problem playing corner outfield.
At the plate Kobe has improved his plate discipline through the year to hit for average to all fields as well as showing power potential homering in the championship game last season.
If you would like any more information please do not hesitate to contact me.

Title: Head Coach
Organization / School: Deakin Blues Baseball Club
Recommendation: Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been known Kobe for 2 years since I was the coach for Deakin Baseball Club.

In the time I have known him I have seen Kobe improve greatly as a player. When I first knew him he was prone to taking adversity a little too hard. Since then however I have seen him mature and he shows great mental toughness during rough patches and does not get too high when he is playing well. His even temper also makes him a very good teammate and he is able to offer appropriate encouragement to other team members. Kobe is very conscious of the team aspect of the game and is very open to playing whatever position is required of him.

Kobe reads the game very well and plays with confidence. He takes great pride in his at bats and is a tough out in a league full of senior players. His physical strength has increased greatly and he has shown the ability to drive the ball to all parts of the field. I think his ability to hit for power will only increase in the next few years.

Kobe's dedication is extremely high and trains with purpose even when he may be unwell. He is very coachable and is able to apply what he has been shown quickly. Baseball is Kobe's passion and it shows in both the way he trains and plays. I think he will be an asset to any team he is on and has the work ethic to improve much more.

Sincerely

Mark Rigby

Recommendation: To whom it may concern,
My name is Phill Northfield, as noted above I am the Geelong Baseball Association U18 Winter Tournament Head Coach, a position I have held for 7 years and I am also the head coach of the Geelong Baycat Reserves (2nd 9) and an assistant to the Division 1 first 9.
I have been fortunate to know Kobe for a number of years now as a player in both of my coaching roles. His desire to improve is only matched by his work ethic. He attends team training sessions, he has personal one on one sessions with a High Performance Coach and also participates in the State High Performance Program. Kobe is coachable, respectful and of high character, so much so that he was selected by the coaches to be the Geelong Baseball Association U18 Team Captain for 2018.
In the field Kobe is more than competent in the infield where he shows fundamentally sound glove skills, good range and a strong accurate arm.
With the bat Kobe has an excellent approach and awareness of the strike zone. He has shown an ability to hit to all parts of the field and his ability to hit for power is increasing.
Kobe’s game sense and awareness has also improved dramatically over the time that I have known him and he takes critical feedback well. I believe that Kobe would be an asset to any team both on and off the field.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss any aspect of this reference further please don’t hesitate to contact me.
