PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am fully committed to reaching my potential in the classroom and on the baseball field. I believe that my work ethic, character, and commitment to improvement will help me succeed as a college student-athlete and contribute to my teammates' and team's success.
Describe Your Playing Style?: |
As a pitcher, I feel it is my job to make hitters uncomfortable. I use both sides of the plate, change speeds, and stay unpredictable from AB to AB. I pitch aggressively, but I try to keep it on the corners. |

Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: |
Pedro Martinez, Roy Halladay, Clayton Kershaw, Felix Hernandez, Yu Darvish |
Other activites and interests: |
Making and playing music are my favorite ways to spend free time. I play guitar and piano, and dabble in trumpet and violin. I love coaching and take every opportunity to pass on what I've learned to younger players. |
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: |
My grandfathers have modeled relentless hard-work (one a builder, the other a physician), selflessness, and humility. I strive to follow their example on the diamond and in the classroom. |
About Me: |
I am both analytical and creative. I love baseball in general, and pitching in particular, because they reward focus, precision, anticipation, confidence, and fearlessness. |
