PERSONAL STATEMENT
Ever since I was young, sport has been a major part of my life. I began baseball at the age of 4, and I have been fortunate to keep progressing my game by giving myself the best opportunities to continue to play my best. I like being part of a team and meeting new people.

My name is Glenn Williams and I am Head of High Performance for Baseball Australia. Prior to my role with Baseball Australia, I played professionally in the USA for 15 years, headed up the High Performance programs in NSW and have scouted with the Detroit Tigers for the last
6 years.

The following is a reference for James Percival. James was a player within my programs in NSW and member of the 18U Australia National team in which I was a coach on.

James is a dedicated, respectful, hard working and competitive young man. He displayed continued improvements throughout the time he was involved in my programs and a willingness to do what was asked of him throughout the process. Whether it be playing multiple positions or hitting in various spots in the lineup James was always willing to adapt to what the team needed him to do.

He has a unique athletic background where he has competed and excelled in numerous sports throughout his young career. This has allowed him to develop athletic capabilities that have transferred onto the baseball field. He is plus runner, with good range in the OF and possess and strong and accurate throwing arm.
At the plate he displays a good knowledge of the strike zone and good hand eye coordination. He is a gap-to-gap line drive hitter. Coupled with his speed he is a threat at the
plate.

Time management is generally the biggest challenge for players that I coach. Having the ability to balance schoolwork with a dedication to baseball. James has shown an outstanding
ability in this regard. He has managed to continue his baseball development as well as perform extremely well at a high school that has very high expectations and standards for
students. I have no doubt that James will be able to continue this as a student athlete at the
college level.
