Ever since I first picked up a baseball and a bat and played with my dad, I was hooked. Then, while I was ten years old and playing for my districts Little League All-Star team, I was 100% sure that baseball was what I wanted to do in my life. Personal Statement: My profile serves the purpose of showing anyone who views it the passion and respect I have for the game of baseball. Ever since I first picked up a baseball and a bat and played with my dad, I was hooked. Then, while I was ten years old and playing for my districts Little League All-Star team, I was 100% sure that baseball was what I wanted to do in my life. Baseball has taught me so many important lessons, not only about how to stay positive during the ups and downs of playing and dealing with
Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: Mike Trout- Not only one of the most talented players in the MLB, but also very respectful, hardworking, and an all around great guy and great role model
Derek Jeter- Also talented, but with a great work ethic and always hustles in everything he does
Bo Jackson-Bo was just a freak athlete who had some of the best tools on the planet as a baseball player and there is no way you could not like him
Other activites and interests: Reading, weightlifting, coaching baseball, basketball, beach, camping
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: The biggest influence on my sports career has been my travel coach and high school pitching coach Patrick Edwards, because he has always picked me up when I was down, showed me how to have some confidence and aggressiveness on the baseball field, and overall believe in myself. The first thing I hear from him as I walk into the locker room is "Hey Sniffin, one of the only reasons I came here today was to see you hit". Those little things he says to me always pumps me up and gets me ready to play. He has helped me believe in my abilities and to go out and play hard by believing in me when I did not even believe in myself. Overall, I would not be the player I am today if Coach Pat was not my coach.
About Me: I started playing the game of baseball when i was younger for the fun and social aspect of it, but as I grew older, my love and passion for the sport has grown tremendously. Through coaching kids ages 9-14 how to play the game the right way, along with getting surgery on my shoulder and having to watch the game from the dugout, my love and respect has only grown more. I plan playing College Baseball as the next step in my career and letting that take me where it may.
