PERSONAL STATEMENT
My ability to overcome adversity in games in one of my greatest strengths. Understanding that plays are not always made, and that errors certainly are, I focus on what is next. Whether pitching or playing in the field, I understand this is part of the game and I don't blame my teammates, but instead encourage them. The hopes I have for my college experience are not only limited to the education I will receive, but also introductions to real-life situations, learning to handle those with determination and maturity, and last, but certainly not least, being given the opportunity to continue playing the game that I love.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Describe Your Playing Style?: Calm and Competitive
Personal Statement: My ability to overcome adversity in games in one of my greatest strengths.

Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: Derek Jeter
Other activites and interests: Playing sports, hitting in the cage with friends, wake-boarding on the lake, listening to live music in Austin, TX, spending time with my younger siblings and numerous cousins, and being involved with Young Life.
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: My father has been my greatest influence on my sports career. He has always encouraged me to go beyond my comfort zone and has helped me to believe that I am capable of more than I often think.
About Me: I am the oldest of 3 children, with a sister and brother. I was born in Austin, TX and have lived in Cedar Park, TX most of my life.

I grew up playing sports with my friends and while I enjoyed all of them, baseball has always been my favorite. Since I was 4 yrs old I have wanted to play a higher level, beyond High School.

My parents have been supportive of my athletic career, but placed more emphasis on my academics. They have always said that the one gift that has an expiration date, is athleticism. So while I have worked hard to improve my athletic career, I have also tried to concentrate on my my academics.

Being able to pursue my baseball career in college while continuing my education would be a dream come true.
