Baseball has had a massive impact on my life, and I hope to play it as long as my career allows me too. I am also anticipating to hopefully pursue a career somewhere along the lines of sports medicine.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Describe Your Playing Style?: To describe my playing style I would say I'm a hard worker and dedicated competitor. I love the game of baseball and give it my all every time I am on the field.
Personal Statement: Baseball has had a massive impact on my life, and I hope to play it as long as my career allows me too. I am also anticipating to hopefully pursue a career somewhere along the lines of sports medicine.
Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: Some of my favorite athletes have been Derek Jeter and Kobe Bryant. Ever since I was a little kid I've always looked up to these outstanding athletes. The one thing I love about both these athletes is their work ethic. Any teammate you find of theirs will emphasize how hard they worked every single day.
Other activities and interests: School and Baseball usually take up most of my time, but when I'm not doing that I like to workout and hangout with my friends!
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: The biggest influence I've had on my sports career was my neighbor. When I first moved into my new court, I had met a kid who lived and breathed baseball. He was a couple years older than me, but treated me like a younger brother and taught me what work ethic really was. Every single day we had done something baseball related. He was an absolute workhorse and showed me how important work ethic really is.
About Me: My name is Derek Williams and I am a junior at Vacaville High School. I've played baseball all my life and wouldn't want to be doing anything else. I graduate in 2020, and it has always been my dream to play college baseball! I've lived in Vacaville, CA my entire life, and have a wonderful, loving, supporting family.
