PERSONAL STATEMENT
Being a student athlete is very important to me, I enjoy being part of a team while still keeping good grades in school. Leading by example is part of being a student athlete which is why I strive to be the best I can at both baseball and school, and still try to help out kids who are struggling or slacking off in class. Baseball has taught me many life lessons and I'm looking forward to learning some more in the future.

RE: Dajen Lee
My name is Dean Welch. I am a Social Sciences teacher at Ramona High School along with being the head varsity baseball coach. Over the last 4 years, I have come to know Dajen Lee very well as a student, player, citizen, and most importantly as a person.
Dajen is truly an asset to our campus. In my experiences with him, he has always been willing to do whatever it took to get the job done. He is able to properly assess the situation and comprise a solution when necessary. Dajen's work ethic and dedication are second-to-none. I have found his competence and responsibility to be exemplary.
What has impressed me the most about Dajen is the manner in which he has approached his studies and relationships with other students/faculty here at Ramona High School. He takes a great deal of pride in how his work and behavior are presented and how it reflects not only upon him, but the entire staff and student body as well. I believe this to be an extremely rare quality. To have a student-athlete who has very high standards for himself personally and yet feels accountable to the student body as a whole is very refreshing.
Within the baseball program, Dajen is a leader both on and off the field. He is highly respected by his peers and is the consummate team player. He has also developed into a fine player, right at the heart of our lineup. He is an all-league caliber infielder here in a highly competitive region of Southern California, playing in the strongest conference in San Diego. Dajen embodies all of the principles of our baseball program, and I am proud to have been his coach.
I highly recommend Dajen Lee for admission into your university, as he is a fine representative of what it means to be an outstanding student/athlete/citizen here on the campus of Ramona High School. Dajen finds a way to shine in any capacity in which he is involved, and he will surely make a superb addition to your student body and baseball program.
Thank you for your time,
Dean Welch

Recommendation: I've had the pleasure of coaching Dajen for nearly 5 years. Dajen is versatile defensively, having played virtually every position in that same timeframe, including Catcher. Dajen is an above average runner with above average arm strength. He is physically strong at 5'-11", 180 lbs. Dajen has excellent bat speed and uses the whole field. He's a line drive hitter with alley power to both left and right center field. Dajen is very coachable, an excellent teammate, and would be an outstanding addition to any program.

Dajen is a tremendous young man, both on and off the field. He is an excellent and dedicated student, who will succeed in anything he does now, and down the road.

Recommendation: I've worked with Dajen for the last year he has excellent skills shows good bat speed and has the ability to hit to all fields. He has occasional power but defiantly a gap to gap hitter he'll only get better with age as he learns a little more about plate coverage and what the pitchers are trying to do to him. He has a good strong body and can handle himself at any infield position . He's definitely can fit into the right D-1 program probably more suited to a top D-2.
