PERSONAL STATEMENT
I started playing baseball with a Japanese team in Tokyo at the age of 7. Later on, our family moved back to Australia and I continued to play ball in my home country. I got into baseball because of my dad and having a family that enjoys the game. I want to play baseball at the highest level possible and train to be one of the fastest players in the game.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Describe Your Playing Style?: I like to play a more focused and intense style of baseball because it seems to keep my mind clear and helps me with knowing exactly what I need to do before the play occurs. When I'm focused, my mind is calm, and my body stays highly alert. If I have to run for my life to catch a ball, I will do whatever it takes to get there even if it means having to dive to get it. I feel that I am most aggressive on the bases and if there is a chance that I can take a base, I will do it.

Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: Derek Jeter
Curtis Granderson
Other activites and interests: Usually, in my spare time when I am not training for baseball or running on the track, I like to go out and do a bit of Slack-lining. I got into Slack-lining because my assistant teacher brought it out on an Outdoor Education class Camp. I gave it a shot and really liked it.
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: Dad, because ever since I started playing baseball he has been there watching and coaching me. Later on, when I got old enough, we got to play together on the same team which was fun. On my bad days he would lift me up and when I did something I needed to fix, he would almost always have a helpful comment.
About Me: I was born in Melbourne Australia and moved to Tokyo, Japan in 2006 where we lived for 7 years. I spent 5 years at a Japanese school speaking Japanese all day every day and played baseball with a local Japanese team. We moved back to Australia in 2013 and have lived here ever since.
